Starting off as a place to show my 2000AD-themed projects, its mutated into a diary of what i'm up to in the SF & Fantasy modelling hobby. And the odd rant, review and ramble.

Battlecruiser - adding decals
The whole things VERY glossy - which is great for adding decals - but a nightmare to put washes on. So have put a few decals on prior to the Matt Varnish.
It may be worth while masking of some panel lines and the odd small rectangle before you paint it with the matt varnish so you have some glossy areas still ! I like the yellow colour, for some reason yellow spaceships remind me of the Vogon fleet from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on the BBC show. Very neat work though, it should look fab with a bit of weathering and battle damage maybe .
That's a really good idea - cheers Andrew. I only put a light dusting of Varnish on as i want the "proper" coat to unite the yellow and black when done, so will def use that tip.
Born '62, growing old but not up. Ex-Projectionist.
Fan of decent film, especially 50's SF, Universal and Hammer horrors, the shorts of Laurel & Hardy. Love the British boys comics i grew up on, special effects in any form, history, mythology, fantasy and cheese.
