very informative and quite enjoyable!
I think your 'potato' Martian is excellent, in design, execution and colour - the best of the bunch by far, and the diorama is particularly well done and suitably sinister.
The potato thing never occurred to me, and even after you mentioned it I see a very interesting creature before I see a potato.
